At the start of this year, we welcomed six new members to our Board of Trustees. Hailing from a diverse range of backgrounds, experiences, and areas of expertise, they are united in their dedication to the mission of the Chesapeake Bay Outward Bound School: to change lives through challenge and discovery. Their passion for leadership and outdoor adventure is sure to serve them well in their new roles. We’re excited to share a little bit more about their interests, professional accomplishments, and enthusiasm for CBOBS.

Marriott International
Ginny Lee is a Director of Global Human Resources at Marriott International. With a strong background in organizational capability and program leadership, she brings a wealth of experience in strategic governance, change management, and expanding organizational networks.
Prior to Marriott, Ginny led educational technology partner success and consulting teams at EAB. There she oversaw a collaborative network of 500+ institutions serving over 5 million students across their full student journey from recruitment to graduation and beyond– ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed. She also led CONNECTED, the nation’s largest gathering of student success leaders, and served as a co-founding member of the Moon Shot for Equity, EAB’s public-private partnership that aims to eliminate equity gaps in key markets by 2030.
Ginny is passionate about leadership development, sport, and the outdoors. She has served on the board for the Ross Women in Business Alumni Association and held volunteer leadership roles at Girls on the Run DC and the Leukemia Lymphoma Society’s Team in Training. She is a firm believer in the transformative power of experiential learning and is dedicated to providing all individuals access to the opportunity to discover their potential.
Ginny holds a degree in communications and Spanish from the University of Virginia and an MBA in strategy and marketing from the Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan. She and her partner and their animals live in the District, where they enjoy spending time with friends, hiking, biking, and kayaking.

Justin Redd was an active Advisory Board member before joining the Board of Trustees. He is a trial attorney who represents clients in civil and criminal litigation matters. In his civil practice, Justin represents corporate and individual clients in a range of complex commercial disputes. Justin also represents clients under white collar investigation by government authorities and defends individuals accused of crimes and other serious offenses. He is experienced in all stages of litigation, from initial case assessment through trial and appeal, and regularly appears in state and federal courts throughout Maryland and Washington, D.C. In addition to his commercial work, Justin represents clients in pro bono matters in areas including domestic violence, veterans’ benefits, and expungement. Before becoming a lawyer, Justin was a special education teacher.

M&T Bank
Olivia Lundstrom serves as Senior Vice President, Retail Regional Sales Manager at M&T Bank in Baltimore, MD. Through 7 years of experience working with M&T’s community driven mindset, Olivia has extensive experience in prioritizing the needs of the local individuals and businesses the bank serves, providing financial education to schools and organizations, and leveraging multicultural banking to strengthen communities.
Prior to joining M&T Bank Olivia graduated from the University of Delaware with a Business degree, and earned her MBA from Godley-Beacom College while working at M&T Bank. Olivia is passionate about early childhood education and providing resources to underserved communities. She grew up enjoying the outdoors and believes every child should have the opportunity to build confidence and resilience through experiences like CBOBS. Olivia moved to Baltimore in January 2023, and enjoys trying new restaurants and supporting the small businesses of her Canton neighborhood. Her favorite part of living in Baltimore is walking the Waterfront Promenade, especially at sunset.
Mac Williams is a Partner in JMI’s Baltimore office, having joined the firm in 2016. He is responsible for sourcing and evaluating investment opportunities as well as providing strategic and operational support to portfolio companies. Mac is a Director and Observer on the Board of several JMI portfolio companies. Prior to joining JMI, Mac worked at Tiger Veda Management, New Mountain Capital, and Lazard.
Mac grew up in the Baltimore area, where he participated in Outward Bound through school. He and his wife have 3 young children and a dog that keep them smiling and active outside of work.

United States Naval Academy
John Schofield graduated from Villanova University in 1996 and served in the U.S. Navy for 21 years, retiring in 2017 as a Commander. He served at sea as a Surface Warfare Officer and eventually transitioned to military specialties in public affairs, congressional affairs and media relations. He served in the Pentagon, deployed overseas and served as the Director of Communications at the Naval Academy. After retiring from the Navy, he served in the administration of Governor Larry Hogan and started his own Public Relations firm ProVision Advisors. The son of a lifelong Annapolitan father, John resides in Annapolis with his wife and three sons. He is an avid Baltimore Orioles fan and enjoys hiking and the outdoors.
Scott Wohlander is an entrepreneur and academic with 20 years’ experience supporting the US Intelligence Community, focused on the development of innovative, scientific approaches to help mission-driven organizations measure the impact of their programs. Dr. Wohlander was co-founder and Chief Strategy Officer Officer at Coverent from 2009 to 2022 and now serves as a strategy advisor at Orbis Operations, a provider of specialized training, advisory, software engineering and cyber services to government and commercial clients. Outside of work, he is a backpacking and camping enthusiast who has seen the power of the outdoors as a platform for learning and development.
